PLANNING YOUR TRIP
We recommend booking your flights between 26 May – 1 June 2027 so you’ve got time to settle in, enjoy every event, and recover after the madness. Most events are on the Albufeira Strip and within walking distance, with taxis and Ubers easy to grab if you’re staying a bit further out.
The boat party takes place at Clube Naval de Portimão. Services like Uber and Bolt are very affordable in Albufeira taking you to the boat party venue in Portimão, it is a 30-40 min drive.
GETTING TO ALBUFEIRA
Best Airport: Faro Airport (FAO) is the closest airport you need to get to Albufeira (where The Block Party WKNDR takes place).
Distance: Around 40 minutes by taxi, Uber, or transfer service.
Pre-book a taxi, Uber, or airport transfer before you land to get straight to your accommodation quickly and comfortably, and look out for direct flights to Faro from many major airlines to match your schedule.

For a seamless experience, we recommend staying close to The Albufeira Strip, where most of our events will take place.

MGM Muthu hotels are in prime spots around the Strip, keeping you close to Block Party Weekender events and the main nightlife. Rooms can be booked via Booking.com or directly HERE, with Grand Muthu Oura View Beach Club being the closest to the Strip.

AIRBNB'S, VILLAS & RENTALS
Many Block Party WKNDR guests stay in Airbnbs, villas, or apartments booked through sites like Airbnb, Booking.com, or Trivago. Staying in a rental is ideal for groups or anyone who wants their own space to chill, cook, and get ready before each event.

SHOPPING
In Albufeira, there are many types of shops, supermarkets and two great shopping malls nearby:
Algarve Shopping: A 15 MIN DRIVE FROM THE STRIP
Albufeira Terrace: A 6 MIN DRIVE FROM THE STRIP / 15 MIN WALK
The Strip itself has plenty of small clothing and accessory shops if you need.
Albufeira also has plenty of food options, especially on and around The Strip. If you’re staying in an Airbnb or apartment, supermarkets like Aldi, and large supermarkets like Continete and Auchan.
TIPS
Passport: Double-check you have your passport before you leave for Block Party WKNDR.
Travel insurance: It’s strongly recommended to cover any unexpected issues like delays, cancellations, or medical needs.
Money: Change your money to Euros before you fly, as airport exchange rates are usually more expensive.
Emergency contact: The emergency number in Portugal (including Albufeira) is 112 for police, fire, or medical emergencies.
Plan ahead: Book flights and accommodation early to secure better prices and stay close to the Strip.
